Volunteer

Oakwood Church is a community of local people, very much more than the name outside the building where we meet.

We offer a wide range of volunteering opportunities. Some want only a few minutes now and then, perhaps on a flexible rota. Others need a greater commitment of time, skill, and creativity. Most are team roles, and none are demanding.

Many hands make light work and ensure resilience.

Volunteering is a great way to get involved at Oakwood Church and with the local community. You will meet many kind people, and your contribution, however small, will be valuable and valued. It can be personally rewarding. It’s never too early or too late to develop your skills and learn new ones.

Many of the roles listed below are filled, but people learn, grow, and develop new interests. Some people volunteer for several roles. If you offer to fill or share a role, it might prompt a volunteer to share on a rota basis, or move on to fulfil another role.
