Upkeep of the building and burial ground

In 2010 responsibility for maintaining the building and burial ground passed from the Church Commissioners to the Pentecostal City Mission Church who, having entered legally binding commitments, purchased the Church for £1. Enquiries should be directed to Bishop Herbert Cato, Regional Overseer of England. Leeds Civic Trust, Leeds City Council local and past residents are all deeply concerned about neglect and deterioration. In 2016 The Friends of Roundhay St John’s Church, an independent charity that has no legal connection with Oakwood Church, Roundhay St John Parochial Church Council or the Church of England, was established
