Children and Young People

Junior Church

For children and young people aged 4 to 17, meets at 10.15 in the Hall every Sunday, except for Parade Services and occasional special services

Crèche space for children under 4 is open for all 10.15 Sunday services. Parents / Carers remain responsible for their children

Messy Church

For children and adults together, meets about once a month usually on Saturdays from 16.00 to 17.30

To help us pray for one another and recognise one another’s needs we keep a Messy Church prayer diary. Every day of the month you can pray for a different member of the congregation, or one of the Church Groups. When you come to Messy Church please let us know how we can best support you and your family in prayer

Our main Service is held every Sunday at 10.15.

There is a Service of Holy Communion every week though the days and times vary

Some weeks there are early morning and early evening Services

Oakwood Church is open for Quiet Prayer every Thursday from 09.15 to 09.45

The usual pattern of Services changes when we celebrate Christmas and Easter. See Easter Greetings

Silent Prayer

There are a small group of people who meet once a month in the afternoon at someone’s home to explore praying silently together. These are some of the comments of those taking part:

“It’s good not to use words all the time”

“I got distracted but I was still able to come back to the silence”

“Being still is hard work but it brings me to the still small voice of calm”

“It’s good to do this together”
